Just a few things on my agenda to go over, since my fucking compsci class is so mind-bogglingly tiring and I feel like I've been up for 40 hours straight.

Before I start, I'd like to say, I like the new interface here on Insult. Pleasing to the eye.

First of all, as far as popular music goes, I'm pretty sure Caniprokis is right on one level. As far as I know, I just don't like the way bands like he listed sound. It's almost as though they have a machine now that plays this hardcore sound and then some guy sings over it about stuff that doesn't make any logical sense. To me, it's about as cookie-cutter as N'Sync, and it doesn't matter if any of these bands sounded alike five years ago or if they sound similar today. Subconsciously, though, I probably dislike bands like POD and Disturbed (though I do like that sickness song) and Puddle of Mud because they are enjoying their fifteen minutes of fame. I also probably dislike POD on a subconscious level because they are Christians (the real reason I dislike Andy Pettite of New York Yankees fame), but we'll leave that one out. I, personally, have this drive to be different so I'm sure that it influences me on one level or another. I still believe, though, that most of this neo-hardcore stuff sucks. To Pappy, on the other hand, it's all just pops and clicks.

I love the Gamecube. I hereby declare my love for this system. Super Monkey Ball is the absolute coolest game I've played to date. All-Star Baseball 2002 is so much more realistic than its Nintendo 64 predecessors (though I still have love for 2000). Rogue Leader is actually a neat-looking game, though I havne't had the chance to play it. I'm looking forward to Soul Calibur 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I think, though, that my subconscious comes into play again here, because I also have an underdog complex. You know how Caniprokis has that hero complex, where he's gotta be the alpha-male? Well I've got this thing where I like the underdog. And I think the Gamecube is the underdog in the system wars for two reasons: 1) since people are dumb, they will buy a PS2 simply because Square will be making Final Fantasy Fucking-Stupid-Crazy-Number-in-an-Overdrawn-Series for it; and 2) a lot of computer gamers are going to buy an X-Box, a lot of people who previously haven't really been too interested in a console. The X-Box will be getting a lot of support and you also don't need a memory card. The PS2 is backward compatible and has a million third party developers, especially some of the big ones. Both play DVDs. The Gamecube uses these tiny little discs and is overall more of a toy than the other consoles. I like that, but most people don't. Everyone else wants some super machine that does their dishes while they set a new record in frags in Halo or something while the console downloads patches with its broadband connection in the background. I just want a video game system.

Finally, just something I'd like to put on a window sticker:

Your shitty car isn't any cooler with those stupid lights on the hood, ground effects, japanese symbols, tinted windows, loud exhausts, lighted badges, blue headlights, and euro taillights.

Assfuckers.
