I just thought of a real dorky issue I have with the world. I don't get why CGI coding is taught to be so.. shaky. The method it is taught does have the most gradual learning curve (learn only what you need to do to do what you want to do). Compare that with the way universities teach (learn all fundamentals, learn advanced concepts, think about what you want to do, learn more advanced concepts, do it).
Over the years my code has become more.. well.. I guess I want to say solid. Efficient? I hope so at least. I know I have improved since when I started. But recently I have gotten into this object oriented/modular kick. I realized that the application of the concept of oop to cgi is not really discussed. I couldn't really find any information on it.
I also know that one application is absolutely not discussed.. it seems like one of the hugely basic concepts that everyone sort of figures out at some point in their career.
Yea. So that is dork rant. Maybe I will follow it up with such topics as: * I downloaded a new _____ utility, * I almost talked to a girl this month, * How to build up your collection of Natalie Portman fake nudes, * I have gout.
Someone I know really has gout. I don't remember who or if they're a dork.. but it is a pretty dorky thing to have these days. I also don't remember if they read this site.. hopefully not. Well, who cares.
