It's pretty amazing that Magic Johnson seems this healthy now, 16 years after announcing he had AIDS. I remember thinking when I heard about it that he would be dead within a year.
"According to world health authorities, an estimated 33.2 million people around the world are infected with HIV, with 2.5 million newly infected, a figure that represents a decline from last year. An estimated 2.1 million died of the disease last year."
I wonder what the effect would be on those numbers if we were suddenly able/willing to provide anti-viral drugs for every single person in the world who needed them.
